Tom Mapes, a longtime local broadcaster, serves as the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer.
Tom Mapes has lived in Jackson since 1964. He won the "City Maker" award from the Greater Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and the “Distinguished Service Award” from the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame. He is one of the original founding Board members of the Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame.
Over the past several years, Tom Mapes has been the host of "Morning Praise" with Grace Broadcasting. He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, a Gideon, a Sunday School teacher at Englewood Baptist Church and a member of the West TN Emmaus Community.
