The Metro Narcotics Unit is a cooperative effort of the Madison County Sheriff's Office and the Jackson Police Department that strives to aggressively combat all aspects of illegal drug activity within our community.  The Metro Narcotics Unit uses the latest in technology and innovative law enforcement techniques in the apprehension and prosecution of those individuals who choose to experiment within the drug culture.  The unit works closely with State and Federal drug enforcement agencies sharing resources and information about all aspects of the illicit drug trade.  The Metro Narcotics Unit will continue to be pro-active and aggressive toward those who choose to violate the law through the use, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs and any crimes associated with it.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office narcotics supervisor is Lieutenant Chris Long.
